Young Teri Woods was riding her pony across the land that’s now Terraine, when it startled and took off. Her mother called, “Teri, fall off!” while her father goaded, “Ride ‘em, Teri!”
Teri held on until she couldn’t. And when the dust settled, one boot was missing. A year later while harvesting the wheat, the Woods family found the boot and a new piece of family lore. Legend turned into tradition. Now, it’s a festival.
