Terraine is designed to reflect the people who live in the community. We talk a lot about co-creation around here, and we mean it. As we develop this one-of-a-kind place, we’re eager for everyone to be heard. Having a hand in making a place that’s personally meaningful in all kinds of ways—well, it just doesn’t happen all the time. Get started!
We want to hear from you. Tell us what community life means to you. Say how you like to support the environment. Recommend a book for Terraine’s lantern library. Send your thoughts for future lanterns and events. When you take the Terraine quiz, you take part in creating your community. Where else can you do that?
Terraine clubs can be as informal or formal as you like and either way, shared interests are a great way to bond with neighbors. Reignite an old hobby, find a new one, and make friends. Built around recreation, socializing, service, or cultural interests, community clubs offer limitless opportunities.
Tell us how you like to spend your time, what events you’d like to attend, clubs you’d like to form, gatherings you’d like to host. From parks to philanthropy, the building of this community thrives on input from the people who will live here. So if it’s on your mind, we want to know.
When neighbors work together in support of a cause, it can forge strong bonds. Terraine teamwork not only makes our community a better place, but it helps serve the needs in the greater region. That’s how Terraine residents make the world a better place, at home and beyond.
Terraine will have small pavilions scattered throughout the community. These are lanterns, and each will have a different function. The first is our lantern library. It’s adjacent to the village center and its books will all be donated by residents as a collective gesture for sharing and learning. Bring your book recos!
Have a lasting impact on your community, foster community by welcoming new neighbors, encourage involvement in events and philanthropic efforts, and liaise with community partners. Inspire other residents to contribute to building a place rich with connection and purpose.
You don’t have to live here to love it here. There are all kinds of ways to connect with the community. Come by The Shed for coffee and lunch, participate in events, volunteer with us, learn about nature, and experience the Terraine way of life.
Dig into a novel at the library or seek out darting dragonflies in the meadow. Do it all, if you’re so inclined. From farmers’ markets and festivals to wildflower walks and BioBlitzes, there really is something for everybody. Read on, friends!
