Come up for an afternoon dedicated to the mighty pollinators that play a vital role in supporting healthy ecosystems—like the one here at Terraine.

When you think about pollination, you might picture the iconic insects like bees and butterflies, but there are other pollinating players like beetles, and even the wind! Together these heroes big and small are essential for supporting plant communities and for agricultural crops from apples and peaches to coffee and chocolate.

That calls for a celebration.

Join us for some hands-on fun, fascinating facts, and Q&A.

🌱 Dig in with The Conservation Garden Park – Our West Bench experts have all the dirt on how to create a beautiful, sustainable localscape. Bring your questions! You’ll also have the opportunity to plant a seed to take home—green thumb not necessary.

🎨 Create with Laura Erekson – Make your own nature-inspired art using materials collected from Terraine’s open spaces. This beautiful solar photography  project is designed to bring out the natural artist in kids and grownups alike.

♻️ Learn how to recycle right – If you’ve ever hovered over your recycling bin wondering if that peanut butter jar goes in there, join Atlas Disposal who will be here with all the facts on how to properly dispose of household waste to keep our environment thriving.

🚶 Explore and enjoy – Take in the expansive views just above The Shed where the Ribbonwalk begins. At this inspiring outlook we’ll host folks from Friends of the Great Salt Lake, The Audubon Society, and The Wasatch Bee Company who will provide info on how you can contribute to a more balanced ecosystem.

We’d love to see you there. Just like with pollinators—the more the merrier. All are welcome! Please RSVP here.
